I thought it was already here. A heads up to listeners,

today's episode's going to get a little spicy. If you can't get enough of the hot stuff,

and by that I mean hot sauce, of course. This summer may be a rough one. Hoi Fong Foods, one of the

world's top Asian hot sauce makers, has halted production of its beloved Sri Racha's sauce. Say it ain't so.

It's also stopped making its chili garlic and sambal ulic products, Bloomberg reports.

That's caused shortages among stockists, and the shortage will last throughout the summer.

The company says, quote, several spiraling events, including crop failure in the spring chili harvest have made production impossible.

Hoyfong sources its chili peppers from local suppliers in California.

The shortage didn't come without warning.
