Summary

Sons of Perdition (the movie, produced by Tyler Measom and Jennilyn Merten) follows three boys after they leave their FLDS families and community in Colorado City, Utah. With limited educations and rarely a stable address, the obstacles are enormous. All the boys have big dreams - starting with the hope of attending high school - but what they want most is contact with their families. For one teen in the film, this means numerous attempts to help his fourteen-year-old sister escape before an arranged marriage. With unprecedented access, Sons of Perdition takes audiences on a three-year-journey into the lives of these remarkable teens, providing the inside analysis to make this intimate portrait a big story - a timely, critical look at faith, family and religious exile in mainstream America.

0:59.8	their, I'm going to call it a new movie, Suns of Preditions. Some of you may have heard of it.
1:04.9	Some of you may have seen it. It's a movie about the lost boys of the FLDS Church or the fundamentalist
1:11.7	Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And they did a special screening here in Logan
1:17.6	last night and it was fantastic. I loved it. And you know, documentaries are really hard to do
1:26.8	well and they did it well and they captured some really important messages. So I wanted to bring
1:32.3	them on and talk about the film. And in typical Mormon stories fashion, I think before we do that,
1:42.0	maybe we'll capture a little bit of each of their stories just to kind of get a sense for what
1:46.8	would lead to a bright young people to make a movie on this topic. So let's start with Jenny Lynn.

2:19.8	the West Coast and a small liberal college town and then moved out to BYU and did a year and a half
