I think you have to have faith in everything. If you try to kind of control the process too much,

it doesn't work. And I think it's an entrepreneur, I mean, everything is a risk, so you have to have faith.

Today's guest is someone I am a huge fan of. I had the opportunity to meet her, the Nina Raider,

the iconic jewelry designer. I feel like everyone in Hollywood has your initials. They're like

everywhere right now. A lot of people started knocking me off, including big retailers. And I realized I have to kind of knock myself off. How long did you give yourself before you're like, okay, I'm making enough money I can leave now? So the first store we sold to, Debbie Moore walked in. She bought two pieces and then literally the second store ever sold to. The wardrobe person on friend walked in and bought the entire collection. And she was like, Cadina, your jewelry is on a 45-minute

episode of Friends, and Rachel is wearing it the entire time. I was so young and you don't know what

you don't know, which is a good thing, because it makes you think different and do things differently,

but my mother once told me anything worth it is hard work.

Don't be afraid of hard work. The other thing that I learned is to just try and immediately do

something. It doesn't have to be perfect. You have to get out there. Like, don't wait. I'm Rebecca Minkoff, and this is Superwomen.

Did you always know you wanted to be a jewelry designer?

I always knew I wanted my own

creative business. I graduated college. I had to start working immediately. I have amazing parents,

but I had to start working and really support myself. And I read this article, actually in the

Wall Street Journal about this girl who put beads on a string and I thought,

oh my God, I can do this. And I started to take metal work classes at night knowing I was going to

start a business. I created an entire collection. And I realized, you know, jewelry, the amazing thing about it or

the fact, the way that I created it, because I started in sterling silver and 14 karat gold,
