He's passed from being our judge to being our father.

He's changed vocations toward us, from judge to father.

The gospel is so great that he not only as judge has justified us, but now as father refuses

to let us go back under the dominion of his and our sworn enemy.

And so he is saving us from what will kill us.

We're growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What could be more beautiful than that?

That's sanctification.

So what we mustn't do is see God as judge and now we pass from judge to father in justification

and now in sanctification we go back on trial.

We never go back to court with God again ever that's grace.

There's now no condemnation for you and Christ Jesus.

I think our culture does this wrong here because our culture tells us to look within.

Follow your heart even though our feelings are contradictory, even though all these things

are going on within us that don't make sense.

And that's what I think confuses people when they think about this doctrine.

You know, you said, Christ never takes us to court again and that's such good news.

But then people are trying to make it happen in these things and it's like, well, hey,

you don't have to make anything happen.

It's already happened in Christ and so stop looking to yourself, look to Him and then

know that you are simultaneously just yet sinner.

You're working towards being more like Christ because you're free to do so.
