0:40.0	I did a psychedelic trip with LSD that changed my life completely because I experienced,
0:46.9	the only way I can describe it retrospectively is that I had what I would call the ego

0:51.7	And what I mean by that is we experience ourselves as separate.
0:55.7	We identify with our bodies.
0:57.6	You know, you're Lewis, I'm John, this is a cup,
1:01.0	this is a table, and we're separate from that. We're individuals when your ego dissolves
1:06.3	There's no separation any longer there's no there is no John there's no Lewis there's only
1:12.4	beingness pure beingness and I was part of it. I there was no I
1:19.4	I was it I didn't have any sense of any separation or differentiation and that was sort of a
1:26.1	timeless state and I don't know how long I stayed in that state probably until the drug began to wear off and then
1:31.9	I began to slowly differentiate again. But I came out of that
1:34.8	with completely changed. It was like I realized, oh my God, the essence of what I am, not
1:41.2	my ego, not my body, the essence of what I am is immortal.
