Hello and welcome to another episode of iWay with Jameela Jamel, a podcast against shame. I hope

0:04.8

you're well. I'm a, I'm in a good mood because I've had an extreme loose cheaper 24 hours and if

0:11.2

you were following me on Instagram this week, you'll know what I mean because I got to go to a film

0:15.8

premiere very clear that I haven't been to one of those in over two years and that I was extremely

0:25.6

star-struck by everyone there from all of my behaviour including the vaguely disturbing video of me

0:33.6

trying to just sniff a bit of the air near Keanu Reeves just because Keanu Reeves. I can't believe

0:41.6

he was that. I can't believe I'm in a film with him. It's an animated film. It's called Beliga

0:46.0

Super Pets. It's part of the DC Universe. I play Wonder Woman and it is so fun and I got to meet

0:52.2

Keanu and have selfies with Keanu and he's so good and so great and I got to meet the rock for

0:58.3

the second time in my life. The first time I met him was 14 years ago. I was doing, it was like he's

not one of the first celebrity I ever met or interviewed for my new job. I was like still an English

1:09.9

teacher at the time and being tried out as a, as a journalist and he was so kind to me and it was

1:15.9

kind of the beginning of him becoming a movie star. He'd been a famous wrestler and he'd had to

1:21.2

overcome so much snobbery, so much skepticism about his capacity to be a film star and so he was

1:27.6

kind of breaking through at the time and it's been so amazing to watch from afar because they

1:32.5

never got to meet him again. How he has destroyed, like absolutely obliterated any skepticism whatsoever

1:40.7

and he's like the last of the great movie stars now. He's one of the biggest stars in the world

1:45.9

and he's done it with however becoming a dick, without ever abusing his power, he's such an

1:51.3

on-problematic faith. We all have especially met so much to learn from the way he carries himself

1:57.7

and how he uses how big and powerful he is not to make other people feel small but to make them

2:02.9

feel as big as him. He's just pumping everyone up around him and I got to see him again

2:08.9

last night at the premiere and I couldn't believe that I'd gone from having a three minute interview
