because of technology, we can connect with you and with people all across the country without ever

having met them in real life. It's the same with social media. It can be toxic and we have to

deal with trolls and misinformation, but it also gives us the opportunity to hear other people's

stories and to find our people or find our community. Later on in the podcast, Julie Womack will join us.

and she'll talk about the simple power of talking to your friends, about politics,

and how we can actually use social media to create change.
