A buzzy new feature from Snapchat's already turning heads.

We told you back in May how Snapchat had unveiled its AI-powered chat bot called MyAI.

The tool faced almost immediate backlash for many users for two reasons.

One, it was added to Snapchat accounts without users' consent,

and it required users paying for a subscription to remove it. And two,

it was, well, creepy. That's probably been the most widely used adjective to describe this new slate of chatbots. Snapchat's My AI infamously gave sexual advice to an alleged 13-year-old

and told a 15-year-old how to mask the smell of pot at a party.

Well, despite the pushback, Snap pressed on. By the end of May, it had added another feature to My AI.

Instead of getting a text back from the chatbot, users could get an image. At the time, TechCrunch reported that this new feature didn't seem to have any use
