Today, news about pharmaceutical giants taking their best shots.

Yeah, we're talking about vaccines here. Last week, both Pfizer and Novavax made significant movement on two vaccines, and while they were for separate illnesses. They're significant nonetheless.

First, last Monday, the FDA approved the first vaccine that protects

babies from RSV. That's the contagious respiratory virus that can cause severe illness and death in

infants. A breeze vaux, which is made by Pfizer, is meant to be given to women late in their

pregnancies, and studies show that it provides protection for infants to their first six months of life.

There were some setbacks for Pfizer during clinical trials during an advisory committee meeting.

Some experts raised concerns over the higher number of preterm births for women who receive the vaccine as compared to the control group, according to Reuters.
