Hello everybody and happy June 1st. Yes, June has arrived. Which means my big

adventure is getting closer. It's only about a month away now, a month on a few

days and I am just so excited. That first month or that month leading up to the

trip just seems to fly by. All right, there's all the excitement and anticipation

and the months leading up to it. But every year is that month, that last month

right before it just seems to go by like a blink of an eye. But we're going to

we're going to get back to that in just a little bit. Right now I want to talk

about this week's mailbag and we will start with our friend Les from North

Central Pennsylvania who has this question. Pop Bear, I'm an avid biker and hiker. I

love going on rail trails and going off trail and mostly in central

Pennsylvania. But I do go into other parts of the northeast. It seems like there

are more snakes out this spring than usual. I've been hiking for over 20

years. I'm not sure I've seen this many snakes on the trail. Rail trails or

hiking trails that I have ever seen before. Not sure why that is. But my question

is this. How do we keep our self safe out there? Not all snakes are harmful. But

those of us that live in Pennsylvania know we do have more than our fair share
