In the 1930s, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt addressed the nation through a series of radio

broadcasts known as the Fireside Chests.

His aim was to reassure the common man that our society would recover from its troubled

times.

Well we're far from 1930 and I deal with a different kind of fire.

All right, Fireside Chatters, a new year, a new take on the THC introduction.

Here we have a throwback to the intro that started at all.

A little less aggressive, maybe a bit easier on the ears than it once was.

But new listeners have asked me why the Fireside Chests.

And so I think it's because they didn't hear that intro and that intro says it all.

But welcome dear people to 2019.

I just wanted to step in before we get started on the first show of the year or second show.

If you heard the higher side holiday special for plus people, but during the holiday season,

I got some people asking me for something really wild to end the year.

That's what they wanted for Christmas.

And while I am just a bit behind that request in classic stoner fashion, what I do have is

something very wild to kick off the new year.

And that wild thing is a deep dive beyond the basics of the Mandela Effect with the researcher

in that community who is plugged in enough to tell us about the real depths of that rabbit

hole and where it's been going lately.
