and the NFL draft always. Smoot's such a big college football fan, such an NFL draft fan. So we'll do a lot of draft talk with Smoot coming up in the next segment. And then with Jimmy Patsos, one of my favorite people. Jimmy's one of the most interesting people out there in sports. Of course, Jimmy does a bunch of work for NBC Sports, Washington. He works for Under Armour.

He's down at the Final Four. We'll talk Final Four. We'll talk, I'm sure, about a lot of things

with Jimmy because the conversation usually goes in a lot of different directions with Jimmy.

So I think you will enjoy that. I'm going to get to a smell test here in the open. I've

got two picks for the final four. But I'll start with two quick things before we get to that. Number one,

what an ugly opener for the Nats yesterday. They don't play today. They play tomorrow. We'll get

Josiah Gray on the bump for his

initial start. But yesterday was ugly in terms of openers. I mean, the Nats lose to the Brave 7 to 2.

Just a rough outing for Patrick Corbyn. I mean, this guy really can't find anything in games that matter.

You know, an outrageously high ERA with a 6 and 19 record overall last year.

He goes three innings, 85 pitches in three innings, gave up seven hits, four runs, two of them earned, walked three. That was a disaster.

Pitching-wise, Kyle Finnegan came in in a four-two game. They weren't out of it, but once he got

into the game, they were out of it. He gave up a hit, three runs, two of them earned in the

ninth. And then some of their younger players, like people have been talking up, C.J. Abrams,

and I know that he is a great talent.

And, you know, Abrams and Ruiz and Gonzalez are three players that they're really counting on from these trades over the last year and a half.

And he went 0 for four with not one, not two, but three errors in the game.

Three of them, not good.

Seven to two, the Nats lost the opener.
