And I've spoken to Mr. William Ramsey before about the Smiley Face Killer phenomenon.

But that was a couple of years ago in and around the time that his book was published.

And we're here today to give an overview of the topic for the cheapied

audience as well as updates that have occurred and you will be very disturbed by that portion

of it for sure but william thanks for coming back on the show check great to be with you

thanks for the invite i i guess for those that aren't familiar with the concept or the phenomenon, could you provide a brief overview of what exactly we mean when we're talking the suspicious water-based deaths of individuals or the phenomenon in general.

This is the phenomenon of young men disappearing at night, later to be found in water,

often in place that were previously searched.

It got the kind of name, the Smiley Face Killers,

because the two original researchers, Gilbertson and Gannon,

would find

this yellow off of a red spray painted smiley face symbol where they think the body was put into the water

so that's how it kind of this phenomenon it's almost like if you would say the uh black widow killer

a woman who kills her husband. So it just got this

kind of like label. Some newer guy whose research uses the term staged drowning, which I think is

also very accurate. But it's just kind of a name that stuck, but it's still happening. The

original researchers kind of started, he's seeing this phenomenon in

the late 90s.

So it's been about 30 years and
