He's going to talk to us about why he left here.

So, Chris, thanks so much for joining us.

I read your five-page resignation letter.

I thought it was very thorough your ability to articulate all the problems with the agency.

Can you tell me about what it led up to that resignation?

It's so sad to have to leave the FBI.

So many of us that join. It was, you know, kind of our Olympics. It was what we really aspired to for a career. And I just looked around and I realized that so many of the people in management that were supposed to be leaders didn't want to hear critical analysis, constructive criticism at

times. And they just closed their eyes to it as if the emperor had no clothes. And I couldn't stand it

anymore. It had taken away some of the joy of the investigations and a lifelong career that I had.

And I also realized with this new business ministry, there was another calling for me, but

I still have a heart for the Bureau and all my colleagues there.

They're doing good work, but there's a leadership crisis, like I said.

Was there anything particular that was political in nature or that you disagreed with at the level where you were at,

where you were stationed, where you were working, or was there other things also at a national level

and other areas that were disturbing to you that also caused you to resign?

Well, certainly, I think one of the biggest things about the Bureau is we're not a beehive.

We're not a monolith of, you know, agents, men in black, just walking around thinking the same things.
