I'm Mama Jules, and today we have a small town mayor embroiled in statutory rape charges with her son's best friend.

Then we've got a father who missed all the signs of a

broken child who went on a murder spree. And finally, we'll finish with another story out of Ohio

because, Ohio, you've been popping off. Let's get to it. Let's start with a small town mayor who,

by all accounts, broke the glass ceiling by becoming the first

female mayor of Derritter, Louisiana. 43-year-old Misty Roberts shattered that ceiling in 2018,

when she won the election and was sworn in as mayor of the tiny town of just about 9,800 people.

Louisiana is Misty's home.

She was born and raised there.

She married a local businessman named Duncan Clanton, and they had two kids together, a son

and then a daughter.

And depending upon who you chat with, it seems Misty did a good job for the people of Derritter. She had cut her teeth on

the city council and when she took over as mayor, she focused on growing the small town,

beefing up the infrastructure and also the youth programs, all of this to better serve the residents.
