Welcome welcome everyone to another episode here on the epic gardening podcast Liz Zorav is back for her final episode

Again, she's a homesteader from the UK in an author her books called grounded a gardeners journey to abundance and self-sufficiency

And and Liz tees this a little bit, but she's not just a homesteader. She's also growing produce for others

So Liz I figured maybe we could just start with a quick background on that side of what you're growing

Two years ago I decided that I would have a go at not just growing for our family

But for other families too as a way to bring in a small amount of cash income

And so I put an advert on a local Facebook group for our local community and said

If I was growing these veg and if I was to do a veg box of veg grown without using any chemicals

Would anybody be interested? Well quite a lot of people were

And there's one of the things I learned is there's a huge difference between me saying

Oh yes I want one and people actually committing to taking a veg box

So the first year I just did seven veg boxes a week for 22 weeks I think it was

And basically I just grew what I was growing for us but grew some extra

So with every sewing I was just growing more seeds

And then last year having found that that kind of worked

I then offered it again but this time up to 20 shares

So and that meant I was doing 13 actual boxes but some of them were a double size box

Because they were larger families than they wanted they wanted more veg

And so last year I was planting specifically with growing for others in mind

And I've got to say I didn't enjoy the process very much

I felt I heard you felt quite pressured

There's a bit of performance anxiety there going on
