This segment we wanted to talk about a little bit on the tragic plane crash that happened in Greenwood just yesterday, a plane narrowly missing a Circle K and several other buildings.

And apparently, according to witnesses, it was thanks to the selfless actions in the final moments of this pilot as she rapidly descended.

And now we have the name of the pilot who has been identified.

Her name is Anne to Wyn.

Officials here tell us she was the only person inside that plane.

According to her social media, she says she was a B-767 ferry pilot, and she had posted several of her videos on social media, including one just this morning talking about flying from Indiana to Pennsylvania today.

We've also learned this afternoon she is a Purdue graduate.

Now, according to the university, Wynn grew up in Vietnam and was always fascinated

by what she called flying machines, a sky. But she was 12, Purdue said she came to the United

States and eventually studied math and aerospace engineering at Purdue. They say she also

founded a nonprofit in 2018, four Asian women in aerospace. Then in 2020, she opened Dragon Flight Training Academy down in Florida.

And just last year, she became the 10th woman ever to fly solo around the world, according to the

university. In that final video, she posted really just hours ago, she made a comment about how she was excited to be back in the plane.

It felt like more than a flight.

It felt like inspiration and a mission to inspire the next generation of pilots.

I can't imagine how her family must be feeling.

What a tragic way to go.

And again, I want to emphasize the selfless actions that she took in her

final moments to make sure that that plane, whatever it took, didn't hit that Circle K and become a

mass casualty incident. It's terrible. You're right. I mean, that shows her skill as a pilot. If you

saw any of the photos, I mean, literally that plane, she managed to land it crash, I mean, 30 feet from the Circle K.

And I think there's a Wendy's right next door to that.
