So tonight we're going to be having the sleep way camp marathon watch along which is great. And my favorite of the series and possibly my favorite horror movie of all time is sleep way camp two.

So we have Amy and Kendall are here there at part of the original cast of sleep way two. It was Demi and which one of the the short sisters Jody exactly known as the shit sisters you can sit down. The sun's a little bit hot if it gets a little bit crazy you can walk around and get over about that.

See you guys are fans yet. We're going to have you talking to that one right there. So can we agree out there that sleep way camp two is a masterpiece of 80s horror. Yes. So I found this movie back when I mentioned earlier on the awesome pod. We used to have a club is called the cheap ass club. And what the cheap ass club did was watch cheap ass horror movies.

And we would go rent them at the local jumbo video. We didn't pronounce the J it was the one to peg things. It was a jumbo video. And you would go and look at the box.

And then you would pitch it to your friends like this is the one we should watch for these reasons. Now sleep way camp two unhappy campers has this girl.

And she's standing on the on the front cover and she's got like a Freddy. Yes, dude. That's what made me discovered two that cover box. The cover box. Yeah, I have to watch this. Yeah, it was a picture of she's got a Freddy glove and a Jason mask.

Right. It's got her little booty shorts. Right. It's like a really cute. She saw some. So you look at the single like what is this like this looks okay. And then you watch it and realize just how amazing it is. So I want to ask you guys.

And Darcy, you love sleep ways. Yeah, it's my top 10 to like you love this movie. Yeah, we love it. So you guys are icons.

Yeah, iconic. So let me ask this. So let's start with you. It's been, you know, 35 odd years since this movie came out. Does it make you laugh when some dummy like me says it's one of the greatest movies of all time.

Initially, it surprised me. It really, really surprised me. I love it. I love it. When you do something, you don't anticipate how it will be received. The longevity of it. And I don't laugh. I'm humbled by it.

How about you, Amy? I left my ass off. I'm actually pretty stunned about it because it's like like she was saying you do something and you don't realize what kind of impact it's going to have later.

And just to understand now that the following that we have is awesome. Yeah, because.

So Darcy, how did you discover unhappy campers? Well, I think I just told you what did you just buy it from the box? Yes, from the box. I was like, I remember seeing it when I was too little and my parents went, let me get it. So finally, when I was old enough to rent on my own, I'm like going back to that and was shocked by how much it lived up to the cover box. Like this is good as advertised. And so I've just watched it. I've probably seen it 150 times.

And I never get tired of it. Like he watched it the other night. And I was like, no, I want to be watching it again right now. It's not even to prepare. Like I've seen it at least 150 times as well. Like I watch it usually two or three times a year. Like it's that. Totally. It's the type of movie that if I'm like, I want to watch something or just have something in the background. I'll put on sleep with camp two.

That blows my mind. When a celebrity thinks that you're mind blowing and the best of all time, that's pretty cool.

The thing is when I discovered it, I was not a celebrity, not even close, just a kid who thought this movie would be something interesting and watching it.

I think I like about it. So sleep away, camp the original. There's a certain tone to it. I think it's much darker than two. And two is a little bit more serious.

Two is a little bit more, shall I say 80s? Does that make sense?

It's definitely 80s. And it has a little bit of that comedy to make it more lighthearted, but not enough to turn it off. Because we are not big horror comedy fans. I take it serious.

Like as much as silly as that might sound. To me, it's it's serious with a bit of humor.

But they play it straight. It's not like there's like, you know, whatever is the return of the living dead.
