Tonight, I'll be guiding you through a meditation that is tailored specifically to help you get back off to sleep if you've woken up during the night. In parts, it will be a little different to the other meditations in this series.

So, perhaps you have indeed woken in the middle of the night. It's frustrating at times when this happens.

But it's not unusual in the slightest. Maybe you were disturbed by a noise or by the movement of a partner

in bed. Maybe you came to this wakeful state due to a dream or simply the busy

activity of the mind. Whatever the case, everything is okay and you are safe here.

So just allow a feeling of calm to gradually wash over you once more.

When we rest throughout the night, our sleep goes in cycles, from lighter phases to deeper states, back to light sleep and so on.
