Howdy, junkie, welcome to Slay episode number 10.

I think things are starting to come together in this grand experiment known as Slay.

I have done a rough outline for the rest of season one looks like it should be a bunch of fun.

You will laugh, you will cry, you will love me, you will hate me, the usual.

The main pieces are still being put on the chessboard, so to speak you haven't seen everything yet.

But I kind of know where things are going. I believe the end is going to be typical whizz bang,

similar stuff, over the top action, craziness, just like most of my books.

Not much news in the publishing world for us right now.

A secret project of ours has run aground somewhat. We're not sure if we'll be able to finish

the job, which we bummer if we can't. Since I sign an NDA, I can't talk about the specifics

of this job, I only give generalities. While this isn't a movie or a TV show, the problems we are

having are similar to the ones we had when we were pitching nocturnal, even sold nocturnal a

couple of times a TV show, but it didn't pan out. There's a constant, a constant press of people

involved in the project when they buy it or when they hire you to write something in this business,

where they come in and they want to put their ideas into it, which is totally cool.

But sometimes the people hiring you to do a job don't know exactly what they want from the beginning.

And it becomes an iterative process. And when that happens, they often make changes,

frequently make changes in the middle of the planning process. Now, of course, the planning

process is where you want changes to be made. You want to request for changes to commit, for sure,

before you commit to the actual writing or the actual principal photography, etc. But for this

project, we've been in the outlining process. For many months, changes are still getting made,
