One of the perennial antagonists that can always be counted on to attack science, or at

least to attack certain specific scientific findings, is religious fundamentalism.

In this case, the young Earth creationists, who will go through astounding intellectual

gymnastics, to prove that real science shows the Earth cannot be any older than 6,000

years.
