When your children or your grandchildren ask you about this period of time, what are the things

you think will stick with you? What lessons will you remember as being the big takeaways?

Earlier this month, I did a talk from my friends at Riskelize as part of their Fearless Week virtual conference.

I hate virtual conferences and I say no to 99% of them.

If I wouldn't sit through one, why would I want to speak at one?

But Aaron Klein and Dan Bolton didn't just stick me on a conference panel or propose another

fireside chat where I sit there and go through the last 20 years of my career.

Instead, they said, J.B. you could do whatever you want with your session. So I said, all right, no slides, no self-aggrandizment no bullshit. I had six things in mind.

I wanted to talk to the advisors who are going to be watching the session about six

lessons I learned during pandemic summer.

And I would speak from the heart and I wanted to say, you know, honestly say how I felt about

everything that's been going on. As you're listening to this I'm in Maine for the

first time with my family on a trip I've always wanted to take. We're going to end the summer with a
