This week we were not planning to release a podcast in observance of the very tragic events that have unfolded over the last two weeks to the

black community and in particular through police brutality and police murder and the latest being the George Floyd case

that is now 11 days ago.

The league released a statement,

Our players have spoken.

We have given our employees time off to observe, reflect, educate, donate, participate in protesting.

I went to downtown LA on Tuesday.

I know a number of the PLL team members did as well, but this past weekend I sat down with one of the

greatest leaders in all of lacrosse, a former teammate of mine at Johns Hopkins and with Team USA, an opponent in the

POL, he was my first guest on on Buckleinstrap and he is our director of our D&I initiatives at the

league. He runs PLL assists. He runs our player relations. He's a man that wears many hats. He's a father and a

husband and you all know him as Kyle Harrison. Kyle and I have spoken about the

topic of race, racial injustice, and racial disparity in the

sport as a whole over the last decade or so, and in particular over the last five years as we worked much closer.
