Sister Wives. And I am really excited to talk to you today about this episode. Season 1, episode 5,

First Wife's 20th anniversary. Of course, the anniversary of Mary and Cody Brown. And we would go on

to see some interesting anniversaries between Mary and Cody later on in the series.

But, hey, maybe we'll get to that someday.

The episode opens with some ukulele music,

going to show maybe the excitement of the anniversary and the celebration.

Mary downstairs at the entrance to Christine's house,

Mary and Christine share a laugh together, and Mary starts talking to us about how Robin and Cody

are engaged now, truly has arrived, and finally reveals that it is her 20th wedding anniversary

with Cody. However, the wives are all going out together, that is to say, Mary, Christine, and

Janelle are going out to pick a clodig ring for Robin.

They discuss how the clodig ring is a family symbol.

Family culture, this happens where there are items, right, artifacts, jewelry, colors, sports teams, universities, these things that are part of

family culture that are emblematic of family culture that are passed on to bring people in

when people get married or new children are born, they're sort of given something that

symbolizes family culture.

And I guess for the Brown family, a clodig ring is one such thing.

Now, clodic rings are interesting.

Clodic rings, I'm sure you know this, are an Irish tradition, although they spread all over the place.

They have very specific meanings based upon how you wear a clodic ring, on what finger, on what hand, and also just the way you twist the ring around on your finger, as a matter of fact.
