Summary
It's 1606 in the Italian peninsula and you can feel the beauty and euphoria of the Renaissance in the air. But at the same time, in a small garden in Monza of Northern Italy, two very unenlightened people talk in hushed tones, and we promise: absolutely nothing beautiful will come of it. A nun by the name of Sister Virginia Maria of Monza whispers into the ear of her dangerous lover, Giovanni Paolo Osio. She wants another nun in her monastery dead, hence sparking one of the most villainous scandals in Church history.
