in the prior episode, it's time to teach us about CRISPR.

Not just what it is and how it works,

but how it was discovered, sort of,

if that's the right word,

and a little bit of controversy and intrigue around that and why it's such an important innovation and what it can and can't do.

Like I said last time, this is something that I personally find challenging because biology is not my strong suit but

having an enthusiastic teacher like Dr. Eric Jaffey helps a lot there is a little bit of

repetition in this episode because we recorded these at

sort of disparate times and it's very complicated

and hard for someone like me to keep in my mind

because biology is just not my strong suit.

So there is some repetition here,

but I think it's good and necessary. Like I barely

notice because it's stuff that I have a bit of a hard time grasping personally, so I appreciated the

repetition, but just wanted to give you the heads up there that we do

sort of retread a little bit of ground before getting into all the crisper stuff.
