0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to Series Inquiries. Only this is episode 402. I'm your host Thomas |
0:21.4 | Smith. And you know as much as I am horrendously disappointed in how Biden has responded to |
0:28.8 | the Israel Hamas conflict, it is also true that he's done some pretty amazing things and |
0:34.9 | gets no little to no credit for them. And today's episode is about one or two of those |
0:40.9 | things. You may have heard last year when Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act that |
0:47.6 | it was the most aggressive climate change bill in American history. And you know that's |
0:53.8 | good that he did that. That's good that Democrats passed that by obviously the narrowest of margins. |
0:59.8 | And of course the minute you try to doubt any accomplishment like that, the first response is, |

1:49.9 | Donald. And he's here to talk about carbon capture and some of those technologies that I certainly |
1:56.2 | don't know that much about. And what Biden's legislation has done and is trying to do and is |
2:01.6 | planning to do in the future to encourage these industries and incentivize improvements in |
2:07.3 | technology and utilization, all these things that if you chip away to enough of these, start to |
2:12.4 | look like progress on the problem of climate change. So that's today's expert. I'm excited to |
2:17.7 | get over to it before I do. I'll just say if you don't want to hear the really annoying auto |
2:21.8 | ad that you're about to hear go to patreon.com slash series pod also find there a little thread where |
