host Thomas Smith all right philosophy lovers I've got a great philosophy

episode with Aaron Rabbi coming right at you got a lot of people who responded positively to the idea of

me talking again about alienatalism and I wanted to bring Aaron along for the ride

just to make sure I didn't get too far off base in my philosophizing.

We used the Sam Harris episode I mentioned as a jumping off point,

but we certainly did jump off and we talked about a whole lot of stuff.

So don't worry if you're not a Sam Harris fan.

It's not as though you need to be a fan to enjoy the episode or anything.

But before we get to that, I need to do two things.

First, congratulations and thank you to black Alabama voters for saving the rest of the country,

potentially, for giving us one more vote in the Senate.

You really came through white Alabama voters. I don't know what you're doing most of you so get get your act together and secondly I need to give you a Patreon update

So you may have seen by now. I talked about this the other show, but

Patreon did indeed back down from their decision.

And actually that was why I urged, one of the reasons I urged people not to make any

drastic moves because it wasn't final and I thought there was a

good chance they were going to pull a Netflix Quixster if anyone remembers that and in

fact they did thank you for everyone who stuck with me, but I will say both shows of

mine have taken a quite a large hit. Of course, if anyone ever can't afford to

pledge and needs to back down their pledge and all that. That's no big deal, but when
