How do you save a big old pile of money?

Last week I talked about testing acorns, great service to make investing easy.

That was not a commercial, I just thought it would be funny to have it sound like one.

So there you have it. I actually thought it was too little of a needle mover and I think

wine average should concern themselves with moving needles of substance. So here we

go. How do you do that? Well you can obsess over all kinds of knobs to turn as it relates to your retirement and we are

prone to do just that we look at what's our rate of return that'll move the needle in retirement. We look at how much the

investment will cost. Love moving that needle because as I mentioned last week I'm a big fan of

Jack Bogle and he's the first one to kind of shed light on the fact that paying too much to invest is

costly. Not just the actual expense ratio of your funds but the fact that people

get in and out of funds like crazy and that costs a lot of money or that the fund

managers themselves get in and out of funds a lot or stocks a lot and that gets

crazy. I say stocks but I really mean any asset that the fund is invested in.

So cost of your investment matters a lot.
