Prayer is so much easier than we think.

It's simply talking to God,

something as natural as breathing.

We can pray any time, anywhere, about anything.

Now here's Joyce with today's teaching.

One of the things that we have to do is learn how to be more thankful for where we're at

and thankful for what we have instead of always wanting more of something else.

Here in Philippians 4.6 where we were at.

It says, do not fret or have any anxiety about anything but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition definite requests with Thanksgiving.

Continue to make your once known to God. I recall one time

when I was asking God to do something for me and he said, why should I do that?

You're complaining about what you got now. See God wants to bless a thankful people.

A thankful people. Maybe you need a new car, but you need to be thankful for the

one you've got. If you don't have a car, be thankful for your bicycle. If you don't have a car be thankful for your bicycle if you don't have a

bicycle be thankful for your feet but find some way to be thankful because

murmuring grumbling and complaining don't move God to help us.

He's moved by praise and worship and Thanksgiving.

And more than anything, that's what our prayers should be full of.

When petition begins to outweigh praise, we've got a problem.
