Okay, resetters. I am back with another solo episode for you all. In this episode, I really want to talk a lot about all of the questions I'm seeing that people are having after reading

Fast Like a Girl. And the first thing to know is that when I built that book out when the editor who helped me in that process and I

really looked at creating all the necessary information that so many women needed, we thought we tried to think of

But if you've been following me for a while, you probably know that hormones have a lot of variables.

There are a lot of things that change our hormones.

So I realize now that the book's been out in the world

that there's some more nuance to the conversation that we need to have.

So what I'm going to do in this episode is I'm going to go through four different

scenarios that I see show up in these four phases that I see show up in these four phases

that might affect how you apply different fasting lengths and different food

choices to these different situations. In my book there are four different

hormonal shifts.

There are our fertility years, which really is 35 and under

and starts whenever you hit puberty, it starts around that time. The second is our perimenopausal years. And you know, what's really interesting, I'm, I think you've heard me probably mentioned this before but these perimenopausal

years are really profound and they are happening younger and younger so I'll talk

about the perimenopause years and I'll talk about the food and the fasting

That you should be thinking about we'll talk about the variables in those in that time period like I know some of you have a cycle every two weeks

and some of you have a cycle every 60 days.

How do you apply what I taught and fast like a girl to that?

Then the phase that I look at is what I call the menopausal transition and this is the year you're going without a cycle.
