Oh yes, that's because I got to chat with the very excellent Fiona Allen of the very excellent

smack the pony. Oh, how are you? Also, did I have a lovely time researching this interview?

A.K.A. rewatching clips of Smack the Pony. Yes, yes I did. And it was a total joy to chat

with Fiona about the groundbreaking sketch show that had three women, Fiona, Dune McKeecan,

who Hannah's chatting to for a forthcoming episode, and Sally Phillips, who was on one

of our gig casts quite a few years back now, front and center, being smart as paint,

staffed as brushes, and funny as book. As you're about to hear, Fiona is a one-woman

whirlwind, and at the end of our chat I looked lovingly at the questions I hadn't had

chance to ask her, but with no regrets because she was absolutely smashing company. Which

is great news for stand-up fans, because Fiona's debut solo show Fiona Allen on the run

kicks off with an Edinburgh Fringer run at the Pleasant's Courtyard from the second
