I'm going to skip the preamble about all the other lovely ear stuff we've got for you on

podcasty places because you know the drill let's get straight to the meat of

this week's chops this week is refugee week okay okay today, if you're listening to this on Sunday,

is the last day of refugee week 2018, so we are squeaking this in,

but in all honesty, the refugee crisis isn't going anywhere fast.

According to a recent UN report 68.5 million people were displaced last year.

68.5 million people forced to flee their homes.

That's 3 million more people than the entire population of the UK.

And more than half of that number were under 18.

Obviously the current focus with regards to displaced people is on the US-Mexico border and the

Trump administration's abhorrent zero tolerance immigration policy that is seeing children,

babies even, separated from their parents.

In fact, at the time of recording, more than 2,300 children have been separated from their

parents in a five-week period.
