0:50.8	not critique movies, but investigate how they portray and represent and treat science.

1:06.2	We will be discussing this episode a little bit of a different topic.

1:11.3	intermission for the series. Yes, we did. King Kong and Godzilla. Yeah. Little intermission and
1:17.5	foreshadowing more King Kong and Godzilla to come. Oh boy. For this episode, as you noticed from the
1:24.3	title, this is going to be kaiju concepts. We're not going to be talking about a singular movie.
1:30.2	We're going to be talking about kaiju themes, you know, going through some of the
1:34.9	science behind just the topic in general, the history of the topic in general.
1:39.4	But we will be using some movies as our platforms of example and discussion. The two movies we'll
1:46.5	be using for this episode are Cloverfield and Pacific Rim, Clover Field, directed by Matt Reeves in
1:54.1	2008 and put out by Paramount Pictures, and Pacific Rim by Guillermo del Toro in 2013 by Warner Brothers Pictures.
