So we are now entering our second episode of this silver screen science special.

And once again, in case you're just now joining us, in this series, we are discussing some giant monster movies, particularly the famous ones featuring Godzilla and King Kong

for the most part.

And we will be releasing episodes every Saturday.

This is the second one.

And at the end of the month, we will discuss the newest

Godzilla film, Godzilla King of Monsters, that by this time has come out, but we are giving

you a chance to see it before we discuss it. We will be reviewing the movies, not as movie

critics, but as scientists, and discussing the science realm of the movie, where does it fall among the intersection

of science and pop culture? Not planning to nitpick it, because even though that's fun,

that's not the most productive discussion. We want to know how does it display science.

Yes. And we're also not criticizing necessarily. Yes. We're not saying, oh, bad science, bad

movie. Just talking about it. It's a fascinating subject. Like talking about what they thought of

the world in Roman times, we're not making fun of them. It's just discussing what they had right

and had wrong. Indeed.
