Roving up in a country that is a startup of its own just got initiated.

Hello and welcome to Danny in the Valley, your weekly dispatch from behind the scenes and inside the minds of the top people in tech. How is everyone doing? This week, I am tired. I feel

like I'm burning the candle at both ends, but that's why I got invented coffee. But anyway,

this week, I want to take you to the future, the future after the smartphone, where we have invented

the quote-unquote next platform. I'm talking, of course, about augmented reality or mixed

reality or whatever you want to call it. So just a bit of context. In a few days' time,

this coming week, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, is going to get on stage at their annual

developers conference to unveil the company's new mixed reality goggles. The details are

still under wraps, but the rumors are that they'll kind of look like ski goggles and be able to

toggle between a fully immersive virtual reality experience and augmented reality where digital information is kind of projected onto your field of view.

And so this is a big deal.

It's probably going to be, you know, I would guess, a limited release and it's supposed to be very expensive.

But Apple's been working on this in secret for years.

And it'll be the first new product that Apple,

the biggest tech company in the world, has released in almost a decade. The last one, the Apple

watch, was way back in 2014. So there's much excitement about all of that and what that means,

this idea of kind of moving beyond the smartphone, beyond the screen. So in a midst of all
