I am Adrian Marie Brown, a writer, student of Miracles and Love, emergent strategist,

0:21.3

pleasure activist, and happy auntie, living in the land of the Lombi peoples currently

0:27.3

known as Durham. And this is how to survive the end of the world. The podcast I usually

0:33.8

do with Autumn, but Autumn had to go pick up a sick baby today, and so I'm doing it without

0:39.0

her. Hopefully I don't fail miserably at this, but we are still going to learn about

0:43.2

apocalypse with race, rigour, and curiosity. That's what we're up to today. And I'm actually

0:48.8

come through the sort of bold realm, the black organizing for leadership and dignity realm

1:31.0

is an organizer in the Durham area, so my neighbor. And that's the most that I know.

1:37.8

I'm like, you're an organizer and you work here locally. And I also know that we have

1:42.1

a nibbling relationship because you have a sweet, sweet one by a dear beloved of mine

1:48.5

that I call A-Aron. So Benji and Maya, at first I just want to welcome you to how to

1:57.0

survive in the world. Thank you so much for having us.

2:01.1

Hi, I'm honored to be here and excited, especially to do this with Benji. We talk all of the

2:07.8

time, but we've never actually shared many movement-related spaces before. So this is really

2:12.0

special for us too. I love that. I really am like, this might be the way the show needs

2:17.8

to go forever, but you know, what we always love to do is start off by just checking in,
