Police are investigating a car ramming and stabbing attack outside a Manchester

synagogue in northern England.

They say the incident killed two people and hospitalized three others.

Police say armed officers shot and killed the suspect.

He's been identified as 35-year-old Jahad al-Shamee, a British citizen of Syrian descent,

although he hasn't been formally identified yet.

The city's police chief says the man was wearing a vest that looks like an explosive device,

but police tell CNN it wasn't viable.

A vile individual committed a terrorist attack that attacked Jews because they are Jews,

and attacked Britain because of our values.

That's British Prime Minister Kier-Starmer,

who says he's ramping up security at synagogues to protect Jews.
