I hope your focus is feeling clear like a Zen monk, and if you were that would be good timing because

today on the podcast I'm joined by Shosen Jack Hobner.

Shosen Jack is a Buddhist monk he lived in a Buddhist monastery for 13 years. He's also an author, his work has been

published in Lions Roar, Tricycles, the New York Times and so forth, and he's written a few books,

one of which is called Single White Monk, and another one entitled

Zincontidential Confessions of a Wayward Monk.

Now this podcast is really interesting because we go deep deep into what it is like to live

and as in monastery for 13 years.

We go over the ins and outs of that on a technical level in some ways and also how it changes your inner life and now

Shozun Jack has left the monastery and we get into what being fresh out in the world

is like again. We also go into his thoughts on consciousness, on selfhood, all this type of things,

to gain what the perspective might be like for someone who lived in a monastery for 13 years.

It was a real pleasure talking to Jack. He shares a lot of very interesting perspectives in this

podcast, which I know you all will enjoy greatly. I do want to say that the audio on this one is
