Summary

Have you ever felt like time is speeding up? Many people are experiencing what is called Tachysensia - a distortion of time and sound. It is reported to consist of time moving fast or slow, or a combination of both, in which a person may feel like they are moving in slow motion but everything around them is in ‘fast forward.” Sounds can also be altered, where there can be an amplification of sounds, in which everything appears very loud, or also muffled. This can be very troubling for those experiencing it. What could be causing this phenomenon? Listen tonight on Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis at 7pm, Pacific time on groundzeroplus.com. Call in to the live show at 503-225-0860. #groundzeroplus #ClydeLewis #tachysensia #time #sound

So I have this, I don't know if it's a rule or it's something that I believe, I guess it's only me that feels, because when you're in radio, you tend to hear a lot of things from people.

1:44.1

They give you suggestions or they write you emails and they say,

1:49.3

Dear Clyde, I would appreciate blah, blah, blah, blah, I would appreciate blah, blah, blah.

1:52.7

Or I heard you the other day say blah, blah, blah, and I would like you to know that blah, blah, blah.

1:56.7

And I read it and it's when people are offended that I pay attention because I want to know why I offended them. I don't want to, my job is not to offend. That's not what I do on the radio. I'm not supposed to be offensive. I want to get you to think about things. Sometimes thinking outside the box is painful for people. They don't want to think outside the box. So they say, oh, I'm offended. You're driving me crazy.

2:52.3

You're making my mind belt. Okay. So when somebody writes me one of those letters and I only get one, I think, oh, it's just one person out there. I pissed off. I'm sorry. But when I get a mountain of mail where people say, I just don't think that you were right what you there, that I think to myself, man, I really, really must have pissed someone off or I must have really said the stupidest thing or whatever. So I pay attention whenever I started hearing people saying things over and over again in a pattern. And I don't know if you do that, but I do that. And it doesn't matter if it's a complaint or a praise or something.

2:54.0

I really like what you're doing with that.

2:56.3

I like the way you're, you know, I love your T-shirts.

3:05.1

Or I like, you know, I look at both things. I'm saying, well, a lot of people say certain things they like about me. They don't like about me, whatever. But that goes not just for my criticisms and what I do on the radio.
