So today is the 80th anniversary of D Day.

The D Day landings in Normandy, World War II.

President Biden gave a speech and rather than talking about the veterans and the efforts of the

veterans who fought, some of them that were there were a hundred years old or more. He turned it into a big speech about Ukraine.

And one of the things I caught being a history buff is something he said about isolationism.

And he's telling us that we should not be we should not be isolationists anymore really. I mean, and when I hear that, when I hear the words

we shouldn't be isolationist anymore, I tend to think about FDR talking about isolationism after the first world war. He said we're living at a time

when democracy is more at risk across the world than any point since the end of

World War II. He said isolation, he said isolationism was not the answer 80 years ago and it's not the

answer today. And basically what he was doing is he was defending the role of NATO as essential to preserving freedom.

He says, to surrender to bullies.

Well, let me, here, let me play you some of that speech.

There's, it's better to hear it out of his ago. We know the dark forces that these heroes fought against 80 years ago.

They never fade.

Aggression and greed, the desire to dominate and control, to change borders by force.

These are perennial.
