I'd like to welcome everyone to the program tonight.

I want to let you know that tonight's program is going to be very dark.

A lot of descriptive things are going to be terrifying for everybody.

I'm warning you because hearing about these situations kept me up most of the night last night.

A lot of things were going down in my backyard here in Portland.

We had one of the oldest churches in our city burned to the ground last night.

It was terrifying to see flames reaching up behind this old church.

One of my friends got married in that church.

And there were some other things that happened that are certainly, well, two weeks ago,

there was a story, and it went viral in the internet.

A lot of people know about it because it was a national news story out of Portland, Oregon,

where this woman, she was a homeless woman, was sitting at a train platform.

It was a place called Gateway Train Station.

I live about three or four miles away from Gateway Train Station.

In fact, it was one of my stops I went to when I decided to transfer

sometimes over to this part, actually, over to the, what we call the east side of town,

southeast. And it's a hub that picks up, takes people away on the trains and on the buses.

Well, on this platform, a homeless woman, unprovoked, pushed a three-year-old toddler onto the tracks.
