Summary

The Atlantic Ocean made history for an unexpected and confounding distinction: The longest stretch in more than half a century without a single late-summer cyclone – a time of year when several often churn at once. The declaration of a relatively quiet hurricane season was made before Labor Day but now we have Hurricane Francine hitting Louisiana. It’s a miracle for Climate Change public relations – a rather odd synchronicity that can be used to point out that the Earth is out of control.
