The skills kids learn in school that we think are the most valuable,

are spelling, grammar, cooking, typing, and how to write a check.

You know, I'm gonna tell you something because I was one of the first people

I discovered the excuse that this this math won't work in my day-to-day life ever.

Why bother with it? I was the one who started that excuse for not learning math.

Yeah, Algebra, I heard that this kid out in California was like,

who's ever gonna use this for anything?

And I was like, wow, whoever that is, that kid's got a point.

Yeah, well, it turns out that kid doesn't have a point and that kid should have taken more math

classes because that kid goes blank when numbers pop up anywhere. It's really, I don't know

why it's not on the list, but it needs to be. Learn math kids, it's important.

It can be very helpful. I think the most important math, for me, I use fractions all the time and

like, real simple geometry, like figuring out the circumference of a circle or something,

you know, like that stuff I use on a day-to-day, but then I have those formulas all written down,

so, you know, there they are, you plug in the numbers, get the answer.

A thousand adults were asked about 15 skills kids learn in school and how valuable each one is

once you're out in the real world, spelling was number one. Even though we have spell check

now, 95% say it's still useful. Yeah, Lucer. Grammar, high on the list, kids are definitely using

those rules while aren't using those rules while texting, but it will come in handy in the work place
