Hello and welcome to the political party. This episode features Jackie Smith, the former home secretary,

and the first ever female home secretary. I've been dying to get Jackie on the show for ages,

and she didn't disappoint. She is brilliant and it's funny, it's frank, it's very honest,

and give brilliant insight into what it's up to be home secretary. Now, as with I'm sure many of you

slightly fascinated by the security services, and I do try a couple of times to get a maybe

perhaps a bit more insight than we used to, how effective I am at trying to get Jackie Smith to

effectively spill state secrets. You will have to judge for yourself, but it's wide-ranging,

and I think crucially slightly different to recent interviews with other labour figures,

in that it's not, it doesn't major on the current direction of the labour party, it's far more about

her experience of politics in general and of specifically her time in government. But enjoy,

and oh yes, and there are two political parties in December, the first on the 6th of December,

Wednesday the 6th, with Baroness Saidavasi and Nick Clegg. There's about 10 tickets left for that,

contender, a very funny man, in February, I am delighted to announce that former labour leader Ed

Millerband will be on the show, and in March, potentially a future labour leader, one of the stars of

Jeremy Corbyn, Shadow Cabinet, the Shadow Education Secretary, Angela Reiner, more guest to be an

answer for the rest of the year. I think those three have already sold out, and there's only a handful of

tickets at the other palace for any of the dates until November. I know they go very quickly, and I know

people get annoyed, particularly regulars, that they can't get them, but I'm slightly powerless as
