Hello and welcome to the political party. This is an election results special because I was

going to say because it takes so long to count the votes. I don't think it necessarily

takes any longer to count them. It's just that the count start later these days. I really

wish count started like they used to the moment the vote start, the moment the polls close

at 10pm on a Thursday night. But these things stretch out however the weekends. So I wanted

to get all the results in before I talk to Greg Cook who's one of the best suffologist

in the country, worked for the Labour Party, used to advise Blair and Brown and he has an

amazing knowledge, a detailed knowledge of every constituency in the country in a sharp

political antenna. And just a quick health warning on this, it was recorded before the

Adrian shots by election. So that result is not known at this point and we will discuss

that in a future podcast. But this is about the sict of May, what those results mean and of

course particularly for the Labour Party really, although of course it's all relative,

therefore what it means for the Labour Party can be inferred what it means for the Conservatives,

but we do go through that in detail before we come on to Greg and it's a fantastic run down
