And wouldn't you know it, well, we've got some of those guys here on our list.

I'm going to start with a starting pitcher who's had a pretty good month of May. I would say a damn good month of May after kind of a struggle bus April. He's a pitcher of note who gets strikeouts. It's Jesus Lazzardo of the Philadelphia Phillies. Now, if you look at what he is done here from April into May,

0:56.3

in April, he had a 4.80 ERA, right? That has come down all the way here. In the month of May,

1:02.3

he had a 307 ERA over six starts. So I know April was rough, but he has really figured things out.

1:08.6

And the good news is when you look at the overall numbers for Hes-Lilzardo still, it's got a 4-3-ERA, 1.31 whip. He does have 78 strikeouts, though, and that's what I'm targeting here. The 78 strikeouts are just 19 walks. And when you dig deeper into the profile of Jesus Lazzardo, which you're going to find is that despite the 430 ERA. His expected ERA right now is 314.

1:46.4

The FIP is at 275, and the expected FIP is at 281. So this is a player that is grossly better than some of his overall numbers are right now. Now, you're not going to be able to buy him cheap, so it's not really a buy low. It's just a buy because Lazaro has been very good in the month of May.

1:59.4

But I think when you look at the overall picture and sometimes Azel's Lizardo can be one of these guys that can be up and down and streaky, there's some frustration sometimes in the market. So if you're looking for the rest of the season to acquire a guy because you don't like the way your pitching staff looks like and you've got some pieces that maybe are overperforming a little bit, you can package them together.

2:03.7

I'd rather have Lazardo rest of the year. Welsh, when you're looking ahead here, who are you looking at maybe trying to acquire in fantasy baseball this week? Player that I didn't really actually think I would be in this market, I felt a bit more negative. And I think the overall perception

2:18.5

and just conversation around him has been really negative. And it's Jackson Merrill. Jackson

2:21.9

Merrill obviously huge, you know, like expectations that were built around. He's had just a

2:27.5

couple of weird seasons. Last year, the stolen bases went away. Could he do that? This year,

2:33.0

stolen bases are back like gangbusters. I mean,

2:35.9

he's still 16 in 2024. He's got 10 right now. Pacing out to have close to 30 stolen bases,

2:42.1

but his batting average is tanked. And power, I think, is like in the same trajectory. But

2:46.8

I think the conversation around him is just so negative that there is a really decent time to buy.
