How important is baptism?

Read the Bible daily, do lots of research to build my faith and understanding and have belief

in our Savior Jesus, but I have a problem with some doctrines

with the organized religions in my area and therefore have yet to find a post to pin my flag to in quotes.

Subsequently am not baptized so the question is how important is it? Yeah, okay, this is I love this kind of question because it's it's theological and practical like it really hits real life, but it also has its roots in the teaching of scripture. So as far as the importance of baptism,

it's super, super important.

I don't think baptism saves.

I don't think you're saved even if you've not been physically baptized.

But, but you didn't ask how essential is it to my

salvation you asked how important it was and so it's actually really really important

that it's kind of like saying like how important is that a married couple moves in together.

Well you're like I mean technically you can be married and not move in together

but that's kind of important. It's part of the establishment of a family.

And baptism is, you know, saying, hey, I'm baptized into Christ. I'm part of

the body of Christ. I'm also part of a local fellowship of believers, but primarily I'm part of the global

universal timeless body of Christ. I'm a Christian. Now what if you can't find a church where you agree with all their

teachings and you're like, yeah, but I'm kind of, you feel like baptism is like

signing on the bottom line of a doctrinal statement in some of those doctrines you

don't hold. So maybe like yeah,

maybe the church is older or young earth or maybe the church has just different

views on things that you don't agree with. My thought is don't worry about it.
