Hello and welcome to the Braun Japan podcast, probably the best way of learning about life in Japan without actually being in Japan.

0:23.5

I'm your host Chris Broder, we're joined as always by England's top Japan enthusiast, Mr. Pete Donaldson himself. Pete, how are you doing?

0:31.5

Listen for the first time in about, God, have we ever done a video version of the podcast? Have we ever sort of like spoken to each other and been in a seat each other over the internet in the three years we've been doing this podcast?

0:43.5

No, we haven't. This is very surreal. For the first time ever, ladies and gentlemen, Pete and I can actually see each other because we're using Zoom and it's rather surreal.

0:51.5

Yeah. Don't out of feel. Yeah, you look very healthy, you've got a lovely little kind of, you've got a fine selection of little lights in your room, you've got almost a little set kind of created and a beautiful diffused glow from your paper, paper doors.

1:05.5

It's nice, this is my studio for a Braun Japan. So the place where I'm sitting right now, if you watch like in the Braun Japan episode, that's why I sit and it's really quite good. Like it's taken me eight years to get to this point because if you look at any a Braun Japan video, it's just me in a dimly lit room,

1:20.5

poorly framed and it's all rubbish. But in the last year, I've started putting the effort in and recently I've got it to a point that I'm very happy with.

1:28.5

And if you saw the recent reaction video that you yourself are in, Pete, with your French alter ego, you can see the room for itself there and see kind of how it looks.

1:37.5

I enjoyed that video.

1:39.5

Well, look, I mean, out of all of the characters that seem to want to review you on that video, I very much enjoyed.

1:45.5

Who's the guy who you got to film a little bit for your channel?

1:49.5

George Japan.

1:51.5

George Japan. I really, really enjoyed that because it was a surprise, even though I thought that even though it's an obvious gag in many ways, didn't see it coming.

2:01.5

I got very excited when it did come.

2:03.5

It's the power of a Braun Japan. I can call it George Japan at a moment's note.

2:08.5

I was like, George, get in my video. It's nice guy. I literally just dropped to an email and I thought, you know what, there's a lot of things in the video. I'm a little bit mean, been mean spirited.

2:19.5

Don't tell about it. Don't tell about it.

2:21.5

Well, I felt a bit guilty and I was like, you know what, I'll counter that by getting George in the video. And then I'll look nice.

2:26.5

He was good. He was on good form.

2:29.5

Did he give you feedback about the reaction video on the reaction video?

2:33.5

He was delighted. He hasn't made a reaction video reacting to my reaction video about him reacting to my video, me reacting to the wall.
