And so what I previously said may not have been heard by you,

so I'll start again.

Lots of news from Ukraine.

What we said yesterday speculating more wishful thinking

than based on hard facts is that, you know, maybe Russia was pulling back.

Maybe Putin was looking for an offer, but it looks like that's not happening.

One doesn't know for sure, but there are continuing attacks on Ukrainian civilians

and attacks even on the outskirts of Kiev.

There's also reports that Putin isn't getting the truth from his people.

And maybe information is being denied him.

Okay, no.

And we don't really answer to that, but information, openness, sunlight is the best disinfectant

and should always be available to all leaders.

I think having access to all the information is the best guarantee of democracy

and I also think the best guarantee of peace.

So we'll keep watching the Ukraine situation, but today I want to turn to a domestic issue

that's roiling the legal profession and many, many other people.

And that is Justice Clarence Thomas, his wife and Justice Clarence Thomas,
